Charlotte Gadlen Obituary

Charlotte confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and honored Christ at United Methodist Church. She met and married Thomas Gadlen, who preceded her in death. To this union two children were born.
She knew no strangers. According to her, "we are all God's children". She was a beautiful, sweet, caring person, always willing to share and give a helping hand. She had a smile with everyone who came in contact with her and she loved and enjoyed being around her family and friends. Her philosophy and belief was "Be the best that you can be and always share with others". She was always there for her family.
On Saturday, August 26, 2023 the Lord said, "Charlotte its time to gain your wings and fly now". You are at peace. No more pain. Keep smiling and watching over us. At 7:45, Saturday August 26, 2023, she gained her wings. My child rest now. She departed from this life at Tennova Hospital in Clarksville, TN. She was also preceded in death by her brother, James Lancaster.
She leaves to remember her love forever her children, Yolanda Harris (Clarksville, TN) and Thomas Gadlen (Kenton, TN); a brother, Collis Paul Lancaster Sr.; a special friend, Kenvin Johnson (Kenton, TN); five sisters-in-law, Diane Lee (Dyer, TN), Carolyn Johnson (Rutherford, TN), Wilma Wright (Rutherford, TN), Lisa Lancaster (Dyer, TN) and Pamela Finch of (Indianapolis, IN; nine grandchildren, Shaker Adams (Dyer, TN), Devonte Harris (Dyer, TN), Chadara Finch (Clarksville, TN), Carlee Gadlen (Kenton, TN), Maggie Gadlen (Kenton, TN), Gabrella Gadlen (Kenton, TN) Thomas Henry (Kenton, TN) and Isaral Gadlen (Kenton, TN); two great grandchildren, Kinslee Grace Harris and Mia Brooke Ann Adams; three uncles, Vernice Young, Collidge Young and Jeff Young; nieces, Carla Lancaster, Latoya Winters, Slyvia Nicole and Christie Lancaster; nephews, LaPaul Collis Lancaster Jr, Kendrick Lancaster, and Sammy Lancaster; and other family, relatives and friends.
