Charlotte "Kay" Hollandsworth of O'Fallon, Missouri, formerly of Salem, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home at the age of 83. Born in Dent County, Missouri, on October 27, 1941, Charlotte was the only child of Robert J. and Naomi (McClure) Hollandsworth. She spent much of her early life in the Montauk area, where her love for the river and the natural beauty of the Ozarks took root. Her father worked at the fish hatchery at Montauk State Park where she and her mom and dad lived above the hatchery , and it was there that she developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors-a love that stayed with her throughout her life. After moving to O'Fallon, Charlotte began her long career with G.E. Manufacturing. She started out on the assembly line making light bulbs, and after a workplace injury, transitioned into the office where she took on the vital role of procuring supplies for the plant. She thrived in this position and dedicated 42 years of hard work and commitment to the company before retiring. Charlotte had a passion for St. Louis Cardinals baseball and never hesitated to share her opinion on how she could manage the team better. She took great pride in her backyard flower garden, which she designed and tended with love, enjoying the view from her deck every day. An avid QVC shopper, Charlotte was well-known to the channel-who will surely miss one of their most enthusiastic customers. Above all, Charlotte adored her family. She is survived by her beloved son Jeffrey and his wife Reagan Hollandsworth of O'Fallon, MO; her cherished grandson Shade Hollandsworth, also of O'Fallon; and her loyal four-legged companion, Mickey, whom she treated like one of her own children. She also leaves behind a host of extended family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Naomi Hollandsworth. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025, at the Salem Chapel at 12:00 PM. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 11:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow at Northlawn Cemetery in Salem, Missouri. Charlotte will be remembered for her strength, her humor, her fierce love for her family, and the simple joys she found in life. She will be deeply missed.
