Charlotte M. "Dutch" Jackson (nee Juhn), age 92 of Parma, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Harry R. "Big Shmoo" for 65 years; loving mother of James R. (Gail), Cheryl Tomaselli (George, deceased), and Kimberly J. Macko; devoted grandmother of Jeff, Rachel, Nick, Andrew, Sarah, Jessica, Jonathan, and Hannah; great-grandmother of nine. Preceded in death by her siblings, Marie Filley (Al, deceased), Josephine Filley (Vern, deceased), Harry Juhn (Martha, deceased), John Juhn (Jean, deceased) and Bertha Nickler (Bill, deceased).
Charlotte led a long and fulfilling life, much of which she spent with her family - a family which continually grew to welcome children, spouses, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Even as the family grew larger and larger, she would always look forward to hosting holidays and filling the house to its capacity. In her personal time, she enjoyed spending time outdoors, gardening and growing all types of flowers and vegetables, including her favorite, tomatoes. During the winter months, she and her husband, Harry would spend hours working on puzzles and playing cards together, hobbies which she continued her entire life. All year round, she loved watching movies, sitcoms, and passionately supporting Cleveland sports teams no matter how well or poorly they performed. Most of all, she enjoyed the company of her friends and family and the simplicity of quiet conversation.
Please join us in not only mourning her passing but also celebrating her life and the impact it had on so many people. Her long and fruitful life continues on in her family and friends, in the memories she helped create, and in the lives she touched along her 92 years of life.
A private memorial service will be held.
Private inurnment with her husband at Brooklyn Heights Cemetery, Cleveland, OH.
