Charlotte Nadeau Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Burroughs Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Dec. 8, 2025.
With profound sadness the family of Charlotte Donais Nadeau share the news of her sudden passing on November 29, 2025- only one week after that of her beloved husband, David Paul Nadeau (November 22, 2025). Solace is taken that she is reunited with David and her parents, Norman and Rose Diorio Donais.

Having been born in Waterbury, CT on December 28, 1941 she spent most of her life in that area until permanently moving to Myrtle Beach.
Graduating from the University of Connecticut, she majored in music and elementary education and later received her master's degree in elementary education. Her retirement was from Wendell Cross School, Waterbury, in 1995. Spending winters in Myrtle Beach led to her and David moving there permanently many years ago. Charlotte was athletic. Having been in NAVA ski club for many years she moved on to regular tennis and golfing and some hearty biking. She retained her love of classical music and was a masterful pianist even teaching piano. Getting together with friends and playing cards was an activity she looked forward to.
Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Kim Gifford in Bethel, CT; grandsons, Michael and Peter; son, Stephen Nikituk in Rockland, Maine; and brother Norman (Barbara) Donais, of Oakville, CT.

A Celebration of Charlotte's life will be held on Thursday December 18, 2025 at 2pm, at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.

At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers- donations may be made to Amedisys Hospice, https://www.amedisys.com/services/hospice-care/donations/
