Charlotte Robinson Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Martin & Hightower Funeral Home - Carrollton on Oct. 1, 2025.
Charlotte Sue Hurston Robinson, a devoted wife, loving mother, and faithful servant of Christ, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, surrounded by the love and prayers of her family.
Born on January 21, 1941, in Waco, Georgia, to the late Elmon Hurston and Mary Norton Hurston. She married the love of her life, Bobby Robinson, on January 8, 1965, and together they built a life marked by love, faith, and service. They were married for 60 years until Bro. Bobby's sudden departure to Heaven in June of this year.
Charlotte worked for the Carroll County School System for 13 years in the cafeteria at Mt. Zion High School. She served the community much more than nutrition; she served them memories that will last a lifetime. Mrs. Charlotte worked in her early years at the Arrow Shirt Shop, where she made many friends. She had a daycare in her home for many years, taking care of family and friends' children while they worked and made a living. She was a nurturer by nature and the epitome of a pastor's wife. She was always by Bro. Bobby's side until her health started to fail. She was a faithful member of Unity Baptist Church and went faithfully with Bro. Bobby in the ministry to the nursing homes.
She is survived by her children, Michelle Robinson, Stacy Robinson, and Stephen Robinson & Michelle; her grandchildren, Adreana & James Beaumont, Dawson Howard, Ryan Cotton, Jacob Cotton, Mary Robinson, Sarah Robinson, and Luna Robinson; and her great-grandchildren, Asher Beaumont and Ronan Beaumont. She is also survived by her siblings, Alice Queen, Rev. Wendell Hurston, David & Violet Hurston, as well as an abundance of nieces and nephews.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Rev. Bobby Robinson; and her granddaughter, Haley Cotton.
The family will receive friends at Martin & Hightower Funeral Home on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. She will lie in state at Beulah Baptist Church on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour.
A funeral service will be held to celebrate Charlotte's life on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Horsley and Rev. Stephen Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Jacob Cotton, Ryan Cotton, Gary Walker, Randy Hamilton, Michael Hurston, and James Beaumont. Howard Hurston and Dawson Howard will serve as honorary pallbearers.
