Robert Brantley Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Martin & Hightower Funeral Home - Carrollton on Feb. 17, 2026.
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Robert Paul Brantley, who left this world on February 12, 2026, at the age of 63. Robert was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was born on May 23, 1962, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of James Lee Brantley and the late Glenora Brantley.

Robert's faith was the cornerstone of his life. A devout Christian and faithful member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, he lived with a deep and unwavering belief in the promises of Scripture. Robert did not simply profess his faith; he shared it. He faithfully preached the Gospel whenever the opportunity arose and considered himself a watchman, always mindful of and preparing for the coming of the Lord. His hope in Christ shaped his character, guided his decisions, and gave him a steady assurance that carried him through every season of life.

Robert was an example of quiet strength and dedication. He joined the Army at 17 and learned the values of hard work and commitment that would guide him through life. After his military service, he became a carpenter before taking on a role that would define much of his career: manager of Mt. Zion Automotive. For 29 years, he worked alongside his father, keeping the family business thriving while always putting his customers first.

Beyond his professional life, Robert cherished his time surrounded by family. In addition to his father, he is survived by his loving wife, Tracy Michelle Smith Brantley; his children, James Samual Lee Brantley, Shelby Denise Brantley, Michael Jacob Brantley, Joshua Paul Brantley, Tyler Harrison Shelton, Taylor Michelle Shelton, Tanner Cole Shelton, and Demarco West; his granddaughters, Serephina Denise Payne, Sydnee Shelton, Charlee Shelton, Haven Shelton, and Olivea Shelton; and his grandsons, Ty Shelton, Huston Merrell, and Holt Merrell.

In addition to his mother, Robert was preceded in death by his son, Robert Michael Alexander Brantley.

Arrangements for Robert's funeral services will be announced in the coming days by Martin & Hightower Funeral Home.

Messages of condolence may be shared with the family at www.martin-hightower.com. Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Brantley family.
