Charlotte Smith

Charlotte H. Smith, 92, of St. George, previously of Orem, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023.
Charlotte was born December 9, 1930 in Preston, Idaho to Joseph William Hulse and Charlotte Lofthouse Hulse. She was one of nine children.
Charlotte met and married Roy Smith while working for Grant Butters in Salt Lake City. After graduating from Preston High she obtained a cosmetology degree and worked as a cosmetologist in Salt Lake City. While attending a dance she met her sweetheart Roy Estel Smith. They were married June 15, 1953. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple. Together they raised six children in Orem, Utah.
Charlotte was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served faithfully in various church callings. Charlotte enjoyed cake decorating, camping with her children and grandchildren. She always enjoyed a good joke and spending time with family.
Charlotte is survived by her children, Mary (Mario) Padilla, Perry (Trish) Smith, Patty (Brandon) Bingham, Steve (Sharon) Smith, Janet (Michael) Sansone, her brother DeVar Hulse and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, Roy Estel Smith, by son, Kelly Smith, by grandson Ryan Carter, by son-in-law Randall E. Carter and her parents and siblings.
Funeral services will be Tuesday May 30, 2023 at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home located at 646 East 800 North, Orem, Utah. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing prior from 9:30 -10:30 a.m.
Interment will be at the Orem City Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East, Orem
