Charlotte Lee Runaldue Thomasson, 102 of Winchester, VA passed peacefully on August 2, 2025.

She was born in Alexandria VA on March 17, 1923, to Henry Richard Runaldue and Tannie Ola Loving Runaldue.She married Francis Earl Thomasson on Feb 2, 1946. They lived in Alexandria, before moving to Mount Vernon where they raised their family. Retiring to Winchester in 1982.

Charlotte began working at C&P Telephone Co. out of high school and later worked part-time at Columbia Plaza Apartments in Washington DC for over 25 years as a telephone operator. She loved to play piano and garden. She was a member of various garden & craft clubs in both Mount Vernon & Winchester. She played the piano for Sunday services at Howards Chapel and Shockeysville Methodist churches each Sunday, until she retired in her late 80's. She celebrated her well and long life through friends, family, church and music.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband Francis; sister Louise Bell, brother Richard Runaldue, grandson T. Clay Dyer and grandson Dewey Michael Hoskins.

She is survived by three daughters; Tannie Lee Hoskins of North Beach MD, Nancy & Bruce Weart of Winchester and Joan & Rick Morris of Winchester; nephew George & Liz Newton; grandchildren; Callie A . Milam, Jessica H. Evans and Kristopher R. Weart; eight great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be at Mount Comfort Cemetery in Alexandria.

Richard, Joni and Kevin Runaldue send our sincere heartfelt condolences to the family. We just learned of Aunt Charlotte's passing. My mom, June Runaldue, just passed away Thursday morning.
