Charmaine Yvette Rowan was born April 26, 1964, in Nashville, Tennessee. Life's span was exhausted, and God's eternal life was given June 10, 2022.
Charmaine professed her faith in Christ at an early age at Eighth Street Baptist Church in Nashville, Tennessee. She was educated in Metro Nashville Public Schools. She held several positions in her long career span and was most recently employed by Goodwill Industries for the past ten years. She took pride in her role at Goodwill and loved helping customers find that special item and developed many friendships.
Charmaine was always happy to see you. She had a quick smile and a hearty laugh. She was affectionate, and although she may not have said the word to you, she loved everyone, and you felt the love through that big beautiful smile, a special unexpected gift, how she embraced you, or simply by what she said to you. She had an innate confidence about herself. She loved dancing, shopping, decorating for EVERY holiday, taking her youngest granddaughter skating, and being a part time comedian LOL! Even during times of enormous strife, Charmaine 's steely will helped her and others persevere. Charmaine will be remembered by her family and close friends for her inimitable spark, being the life of the party, her famous leg kicks (just like the Radio City Rockettes), and lighting up any room she walked into.
Charmaine was preceded in death by her grandparents, Milford and Luree Pannell Rowan; and Mrs. Grace Lane Wilson; Father, Donald Lane; Uncles, James and Jessie Rowan. She leaves to cherish her precious memories devoted children: Kenitra Rowan, Randall Rowan, Kevin Coleman, and Keisha Coleman; grandchildren, Jasmine Rowan, Jurnee Faith Eddings, and Ar'monie Scales; Mother, Mary Ann Rowan; Sisters, Franchelle (Walter D. Jr.) Lewis, Yolanda (Jasper) Fitzhugh, and Lasa (Reggie) Rucker; Brother, Reginald Sawyers; Uncles, Thomas Rowan, Smyrna, TN; Larry (Robin) Rowan, Murfreesboro, TN; Leonard Rowan; and Ronald (Ondrea) Rowan, Hanover, Maryland; Ronald Lane, New Orleans, Louisiana. Aunts, Shirley (Sonny) Jones; Detroit, Michigan; and Caroline Rowan, Clarksville, TN; a host of other relatives, beloved nieces, beloved nephews, beloved cousins, in-laws, Eighth Street Baptist Church family; and devoted friends.
