Chase Daniel Dean, known affectionately as Chase, entered the stage of life on November 20, 2010, in The Woodlands, Texas, taking his final bow on May 3, 2025, in Conroe, Texas. His time on this earth, although brief, was like a brilliant firework-vivid, full of energy, and heartwarmingly luminous.
Chase's early exit, marked by the tragedy of murder, shocks the script of life-a narrative that should have had many more chapters filled with laughter, love, and adventure. Yet in his fourteen years, Chase played the lead role of a thoughtful, intelligent, and loving character, a role he embraced with every fiber of his being. He was a natural comedian, always ready with a mischievous grin, turning the world into his stage.
Education was an act in progress for Chase, with him just hitting his stride in the 8th grade at Stockton Junior High. It was there that he wasn't just a student but the class's unofficial jester, finding the humor in lessons that many missed.
His interests were the melodies and rhythms that set the tone for his days. He loved music and would often sing in the truck with his momma, his voice rising above the engine's hum, a daily duet that made even the traffic seem to dance. And speaking of dance, Chase could bust a move with an infectious enthusiasm that could coax a smile out of the sternest of faces. His dancing wasn't just a hobby; it was his soul language. In the symphony of life, Chase embraced the role of big brother like a born leader, protective yet fun-loving, setting the stage for a lifelong bond with his siblings Airon, Korbin, Kole, and Olivia. The love he had for his family was a constant encore performance, with Kathryn, Lee, Charley, Lacey, and Selbya as his biggest fans.
Chase, ever the center of attention, mastered the art of living in the spotlight. His presence was like a magnet, drawing in laughter and joy as naturally as he breathed. He had an innate ability to turn the mundane into the extraordinary, much like riding his bike-it wasn't just transportation, it was a grand adventure on two wheels. As Robin Williams once said, "You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it." Chase embodied this spark of madness, the kind that lights up a room and infuses every moment with a bit of magic. His intelligent humor was a beacon for all who knew him, guiding us through the doldrums with a well-timed quip or a perfectly executed prank.
Chase is survived by his mother Kathryn (Katy) Tidwell and stepfather Lee Tidwell, his father Charley Dean and stepmother Lacey Dean, his grandmother Selbya Carroll and grandfather Eddie Sherburne, his great grandmother Charley Miller and Great grandfather Robert Miller, and his siblings Airon Crummel, Korbin Crummel, Kole Allen, Olivia Dean, and Haleigh Murphy. He is Preceded in death is his stepfather Terry Crummel and his great-grandparents, Ellis and Kathryn Carroll.
In the story of Chase's life, each person he touched became a part of his extended cast. His thoughtfulness was the thread that tied the scenes together, and his loving nature was the theme that resonated long after the curtain fell.
Though his departure from our daily script is a scene we never wanted to play, we find comfort in memories filled with laughter and mischief-a testament to a life that, while too short, was undeniably well-lived. In the hearts of those who loved him, Chase remains the shining star, the laughter in the silence, and the dance in the stillness.
And as we close the final page of his chapter among us, let us find solace in the joy he left behind and the reminder that every moment is an opportunity to make someone smile, to sing loudly in trucks, and to dance like no one is watching. Chase, our beloved comedian, you may have exited stage left, but your spotlight forever glows in our hearts.
