Chase Miller Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Nelson-Berna Funeral Home & Crematory of Fayetteville on Jan. 8, 2026.
Chase Yates Miller, 54, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, joined his beloved mother in eternity on Saturday January 3, 2026.

He was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on April 19, 1971 to Connell Ransom Miller, Jr and Nadine (Howard) Miller Yates.

Chase was known for being the life of the party. He loved people and had a presence that could light up any room. He always had a hug for anyone and everyone he knew or met, and he never met a stranger. People were drawn to Chase for his big personality, infectious humor and giant heart. Chase left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He will be terribly missed.

An entrepreneur at heart, Chase started making money in junior high when he stuffed a tackle box full of candy bars and took it to school to sell to his classmates. He started a car detailing business in high school which led to a love of cars; most especially his infamous IROC-Z71 with the personalized license plate "HIOFICR" making him a favorite among the local police departments.

Chase bought his first property at the age of 18. That is where his love of building and contracting would be born. He went on to build and remodel many homes in the Northwest Arkansas area, creating lasting friendships with nearly every client with whom he worked. He really enjoyed his years as a builder with Cooper Homes as well as his position of Vice President at Lindsey & Associates for many years where he worked alongside his mom, sister and brother.

Chase was preceded in death by his mother, Nadine Miller Yates whose life and legacy touched countless people and whose absence continues to be felt.

He is survived by his father and stepmother; Connell Miller, Jr and Judy Miller, his daughters; Macie (Levi) and Shelby; his siblings; Leslie Miller of Fayetteville, Scott Miller (Krista) of Fayetteville and Alisha Marshall (Roger) of Fayetteville; his nieces and nephews; Spencer Kemp, Jackson Miller, Rylin Miller, Jordan Marshall, Sydnee Marshall, Emilee Marshall, Kaycee Marshall and Parker Marshall with whom he shared a birthday.

He is also survived by his special companion, Susan Call, whom he shared life and many meaningful moments.

A visitation will be held on Thursday January 15 from 5-7pm at Nelson Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Funeral services will be held on Friday January 16 at 2pm at First Christian Church Fayetteville, followed by procession to Fairview Memorial Gardens, where Chase will be laid to rest next to his mom.

Per Chase's request, a celebration of life will take place at the Elks Lodge in Fayetteville immediately following the burial service.
