Chase Waldman Obituary

Chase Stephen Waldman

In Loving Memory of Chase Stephen Waldman, Chase Waldman, age 37, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away suddenly on January 15th, 2026.

A prominent business owner, a skilled Master Electrician, a devoted father and husband, son, and brother Chase leaves behind a legacy of hard work, mentorship, and deep devotion to his family. Chase was the founder and owner of Chase Sterling Electric. His drive for entrepreneurship was instilled in him at a young age by his grandfather, Abe O'Canna; uncles, Larry and Gary O'Canna; and mother, Deborah Waldman, whose own success as business owners served as Chase's primary inspiration. Alongside his wife, Gabrielle, he built Chase Sterling Electric from the ground up into a cornerstone of the construction industry in Albuquerque.

More than just a business owner, Chase was a mentor who was devoted to uplifting his team. He was a firm believer in the potential of his employees, often providing second-chances to those facing personal challenges. He took pride in helping his team build their lives, and in return, he earned a level of respect and loyalty like no other.

Long before building Chase Sterling Electric, Chase was known for his Championship winning skill on the dirt track. This passion was shared deeply with his father, Scott Waldman, who was Chase's Chief Supporter and pit crew. Chase's full-throttle approach to racing and life, along with his "go for it and get it" drive learned in Moto-Cross carried him throughout his life.

Through every chapter of his life, Chase shared an unbreakable bond with his sister, Whitney. As a devoted supporter, Whitney was a constant presence in his life; in return, Chase was a fiercely protective and loving brother. Their relationship is a true testament to the love and care Chase had for his family.

In recent years, Chase found joy in the finer things. He was an avid golfer and a talented cook. Chase also found deep joy in traveling with his wife, Gabrielle, often eating at the nicest restaurants, and enjoying the best steak and seafood money can buy. Chase was, first and foremost, a man defined by his love for family. His devotion to Gabrielle was the heartbeat of his life, evident in everything from their Halloween wedding to the long hours they shared building Chase Sterling Electric. Together, they created a bond and a business that was truly one of a kind. Sterling was the light of Chase's life. Chase poured his heart into fatherhood, whether he was guiding Sterling through his first dirt bike ride or standing as his biggest fan at every baseball game. To Chase, being Sterling's dad was the most important role he ever played.

Chase is preceded in death by Grandparents, Milton H. Waldman M.D., Wife Marjori Waldman; and Grandparents, Abel and Lucille O'Canna.

Chase is survived by his loving Wife and partner in all things, Gabrielle; his Son, Sterling; Daughters, Emee and Aria; his Parents, Scott and Deborah; his Sister, Whitney and Husband, Ryan and their children, Camila and Brooks. Chase will also be dearly missed by his extended family, Uncle Larry, Uncle Gary, and Aunt Myra; Cousin, Glen and Wife, Maria Elena, their children Elijah and Mateo; Cousin, Travis and Wife, Ashleigh; Cousin, Randy and Wife, Ashley, their children Andres and Tiago; Cousin, Dee Maloof and her Daughters; Judy; Helen and Husband, Pat; Sharon; Tammy and Husband, Gerard; and Godmother, Joann.

A service to celebrate Chase's remarkable life will be held on Monday January 26th, 2026, at 10:00 A.M., at Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 8600 Academy Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111.
