Chastaneyka Willcox, 51, of Bedford, Virginia, passed away in the morning hours on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. After an extended illness, Chastaneyka passed peacefully at home, surrounded by family. She was born September 4, 1974, in Charleston, South Carolina, and raised by parents, Gerasimo “Zeke” and Marrianne “Vy” Zanatos. Chastaneyka was a devoted mother, wife, sibling, friend, and healer who touched the lives of many. She enjoyed camping, traveling, dancing, hiking, yoga, meditation, taking care of the cows on her farm, and spending time with her family and friends.
Chastaneyka is survived by her husband, Mark Anthony Willcox; children, Nolayte Eagle (Taylor), Lia Willow Lehrer (Vivek), Jakob Lehrer, Noah Lehrer, Sam Willcox; sisters, Terri, Jenny, Rickie, Tammy; brother, James; honorary friends and loved ones, Nancy Strachan, Edrie Bays, Gina Spagnoli, Kathy Graham, Angela Rose Libby.
She was preceded in death by brother, Robert; sister, Lee Ann; and biological mother, Lois.
Chastaneyka dedicated her life to the path of serving and healing others. She touched the lives of many in Bedford, VA, where she owned and shared her passion through her business, Insight Healing Studio. She was a Certified Montessori Teacher, and had completed a degree in Social Sciences. She taught for many years and enjoyed helping kids and adults alike. She was known in profession as a massage therapist, yoga instructor, spiritual life coach, and ordained minister. Chastaneyka would love to be remembered through her fantastic healing she provided to others and the love and light she shared in the community.
A Celebration of Life service is planned to be held at the Bower Center For The Arts at 305 North Bridge Street, Bedford, VA on January 17, 2026 at 2 PM.
