Chaunaka McManus Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Phillips Funeral Service Inc. - High Point on Feb. 4, 2025.
Mrs. Chaunaka Marie McManus (Renee, Skeetaleet) was born on December 26, 1971, in High Point, NC, to the late Bernard Wilson and Frances Marie Cook. She dedicated her life to Christ at an early age and remained steadfast in her faith until God called her home on February 1, 2025.
Renee graduated from Andrews High School and later earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance from High Point University. In 2005, she married the love of her life, Jeffrey Bernard McManus, and together they raised two cherished children, Diaria Sheyri Stephens and Jeffrey Bernard McManus Jr. A devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, Renee's love for her family was unwavering. She had a vibrant spirit, enjoyed singing, dancing, and spreading joy wherever she went. Her faith was central to her life, and she was an active member of High Point Christian Center. Professionally, Renee spent over 20 years at Chester Clack Accounting Firm before launching a successful Liberty Tax Service franchise. She was also deeply involved in her community, mentoring young girls and supporting dance ministries. Though she is no longer with us, Renee's legacy of love, faith, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Bernard McManus; her children, Diaria Sheyri Stephens (DeQuan Stephens) and Jeffrey McManus Jr.; and her siblings: LeCheshia Cook, Carlus Wilson (Sandra Wilson), Juandalynn Rowe (William Rowe), Anthony Wilson (Penny Wilson), LaShawan Wilson, Duan Lattimore, Dwayne "DeeDee" Terry (Sherry Terry), and Christopher Wilson, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. at Maranatha Fellowship Church 1215 Eastchester Drive, High Point, NC 27265.
We appreciate the love, support, and prayers from our family and friends during this difficult time. Please join us as we come together to celebrate and remember her life.
