Mrs. Pearline Johnson, 82, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at her residence.Mrs. Pearline Watts Johnson-Medley was a powerful prayer warrior with a gentle spirit and a loving heart that was as golden as it was strong. Beautiful and delicate in statue, dynamic in faith and courage, she was task-oriented and compassionate in all her endeavors. This exquisite flower was like a vivid purple flower with exploding blossoms of creativity, fine homestyle cooking and long-distance driving skills. She was born on February 26, 1943, to the Late Eugene and Inez Davis Watts. She was preceded in death by her husband's James Johnson and Johnny Mack Medley of
High Point, NC. As a sibling of Patricia Farabee Broadie and Ervin Eugene Watts. She was born in a Christian home. She loved to hear good preaching and singing around North Carolina, South Carolina and Virigina with her husband and her brother. She attended school in Randolph County and Guilford County. She was devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
She enjoyed singing praises to the Lord. She was a member of Friendship Holiness Church and later Mercy Outreach under the leadership of her cousin Pastor Addie Collins and Diane Barrino – Barber. She had worked for many years at the Hosiery Mills and later found her passion as a CNA in her own home health care business along with her Sister Pat. She enjoyed providing care for a variety of influential people in the High Point and Greensboro Area until her retirement.
Surviving to cherish her precious memories are two daughters that she raised as her own, Pamela Hough of Reseda, CA and her precious baby girl, Miracle Watts that she loved with all her heart; one brother, Ervin Watts of
High Point, NC; two sisters, Alice Faye Watts and Patricia Farabee Broadie of
High Point, NC; one grandson, Harry Deberry of Reseda, CA; five stepchildren, Johnnie Mae and Dehavia and Mack Jr. Medley; Josephine Council of
High Point, NC and Priscilla Dula of Virginia; three nieces, Magaline Williams, Quona Watts, and a special niece/ daughter, Adrianne F. Everette; two special nephews, David Lee Watts and Vernon Farabee; two special great nieces, Aleesia (Lele) Everette, and Shemica Broadway; and a host of great nieces and nephews; Special friends, Angeline Mitchell of Alabama, Sheila P Latta of York, SC and Inell Barrette of Asheboro, NC, Gent and Robert of High Point NC; and a host of cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be held Monday, February 16, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at United House of Grace & Mercy Church, 1306 Leonard Avenue. Interment will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 until 1:00 p.m.
