Deon Johnson

Mr. Deon Johnson, 58, of Wadley, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Wellstar MCG Augusta. He was born on June 5, 1967, in Hollywood, Fl. to Roger Joe Johnson and Martha Strowbridge. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Deon Johnson was a devoted husband, loving father, proud business owner, and a man whose presence brought joy wherever he went. As the owner of Always Trucking Enterprises, he worked tirelessly to provide for his family and build a life rooted in purpose and perseverance.

He had a generous heart and a deep commitment to his community, always giving, supporting, and uplifting others. Deon was also the life of the party, never missing a chance to celebrate, laugh, and bring people together. His joy was contagious, and his love was felt deeply by all who knew him.

To his family, Deon was strength, partnership, and unwavering love. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in every shared memory, every celebration, and every life he touched.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever celebrated.

Deon is survived by his wife of 29 years, Tara D. Johnson of Wadley; daughters, Deondreze Johnson Young (William) of Wadley, Kiara Johnson of Augusta, Nacoyia Johnson of Wadley; son, Deon Freeman of Wadley; granddaughters, Choyce Deara Young, Addison Brown, Ta’Shiya Freeman, Alonna Freeman all of Wadley; grandsons, Trenton Johnson of Augusta, Thomas Cunningham, Jr. of Wadley; bonus children, Shymiya Daniels, Zynae Daniels; several other family members and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Kingdom Life Fellowship Ministries.

Interment will follow in San Clair Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at The Sports Zone, 177 Bedingfield St. Wadley, GA 30477.
