Chenoa Linda Nickerson (née Wolters) 1991-2024 of Gilbert, Arizona was an affectionate, generous, fearless, and free-spirited individual who always put the needs of others ahead of her own.
Chenoa's smile lit up a room. She radiated warmth and positivity wherever she went, truly living up to her Native American name meaning "Dove of Sunshine, Dove of Peace". Chenoa saw the good in everyone and in every situation.
Chenoa met her Creator after being swept away by a flash flood while hiking with her husband in Havasupai, Arizona on her 33rd birthday, 08/22/2024.
Chenoa was the second-born child to Bodo and Yvonne Wolters. She was born in Luxembourg Ville, The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
Chenoa's family moved from Germany to the United States in 1993. She grew up in Connecticut, Georgia, and Pennsylvania. She attended Downingtown West High School before completing her Bachelor's Degree in International Business and Relations with a minor in German at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Her passions encompassed a diverse range of interests, including hiking, where she delighted in exploring the great outdoors and connecting with nature; performing arts, which allowed her to express her creativity and immerse herself in the world of drama and music; and traveling, which ignited her curiosity and love for discovering and embracing new cultures and experiences around the world. She began her professional career in Germany and Ireland. After spending 6 years in Europe, Chenoa visited her sister Kyra in Arizona and was completely captivated; she was determined to make Arizona her new home.
She moved to Gilbert, Arizona in March of 2022. Chenoa was later baptized into the Christian faith in August that year. From that point forward, Chenoa lived her life to glorify God, share Christ's love, and spread the Word to whomever she met. She met her husband, Andrew, early in 2023 and they married in August later that year. Chenoa embraced her role as a step-mom and had a special bond with her step-daughters. Chenoa flourished as Andrew's wife, leaving a lasting influence on her family that will be cherished forever.
Chenoa is survived by:

Chenoa will always be remembered for her kind heart and boundless love that she generously extended to everyone she encountered, and her absence will be felt profoundly every day. The impact she made will continue to resonate deeply and her spirit will be preserved through the precious memories and love she radiated into the world.
