Cheri Knapp

Cheri Kay Knapp, 72, of Windsor Heights, Iowa passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022. Cheri was a kind and giving woman and was co-owner of Stitch N' Frame since 1989. She offered extensive knowledge of the techniques of needlecraft to her stitchers and design of needle techniques patterns.
Born on November 27, 1950, in Des Moines, Iowa. Graduated from Drake University with multiple degrees including Education, Pottery, and Art History. She had a keen eye for color which aided in her pottery business and her love of painting. Also worked to produce a product that was sold both in the USA and internationally. She also aided her husband in keeping a National Residential Wildlife habitat on their property by selling custom essential and essence oils thru their other business Windflower Grove LLD.
Cheri was the daughter of the late Vernon and Elizabeth (Pline) Sodawasser. She married her childhood sweetie and late husband Lorin D. Knapp. Her family included Nicky, Pepper, Noah, Brandi, Merlin and Hannah. They were the love of her life.
Left to cherish her memory were many close friends including her sister, Vicki Sodawasser of Windsor Heights, Iowa and Martha Yeager of Adel, Iowa.
A visitation will be held at Merle Hay Funeral Home on Saturday, December 17, 2022, from 1:00- 3:00 PM.
