Our beloved Cherry Lynn Breedlove, affectionately known as Cherry, of Akron, Ohio, passed away suddenly on November 12, 2023. She was born to Jewell and Karl Breedlove on August 16, 1959. She was raised in East Akron for the majority of her life. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. Her favorite artists were Phyliss Hyman and Tramaine Hawkins. She attended Oakwood College and studied a few different courses until she became sick, which ended her dreams of furthering her education. Cherry was a very kind and loving person and would give you the shirt off her back. She is gone from us and now in Jehovah's memory.
Cherry is preceded in death by her parents Jewell and Karl Breedlove, her daughter Candace Breedlove, her sister Ingrid Breedlove and brothers Hansey and Paul Breedlove. She leaves behind brother Huston Breedlove (Gail) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; nieces Antoinette Kelley and Kenya Johnson of Akron, Ohio; Annique Johnson of Dallas, Texas; Karla Breedlove (Glyde) of Kansas City, Kansas; Monica Breedlove of West Palm Beach, Florida; and nephews, Allen D. Walker II of Henderson, Nevada; Evana Breedlove of Pennsylvania; Mario Breedlove (Lindsey) of Fayetteville, Georgia; great nephew Tavion Johnson; and great-niece Lakenda Johnson of Akron, Ohio and special cousins April Edwards and Gail Patrick as well as many other relatives and friends .
Visitation will be held Saturday November 18th, 2023 from 1:00-2:00 at the Hummel Funeral Home located at 500 E. Exchange St. Akron, OH 44304. A funeral service will follow at 2:00.
