Cheryl June, 81 of Spring Lake Park, Minnesota passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025 at the Nelson Care Center in Alexandria, Minnesota. Born June 22, 1943 in Little Rock Iowa to Harold and Louise Christians, the second of five children. Diagnosed with polio at the age of five years old, Cheryl endured countless surgeries and stints in physical therapy. Cheryl was a surgical technician for a short time after high school. In 1962 she met the love of her life, Gerald Amborn and they married in 1963. They had two loving sons, Todd and Aaron. Cheryl worked at the arsenal in Arden Hills, Minnesota assembling bandoliers for the war effort in Vietnam. She then went on to work at Morningside Memorial Gardens in Coon Rapids, MN. Then finally onto Minco Industries in Fridley, MN where she worked for twenty-seven years and retired in 2004. Cheryl was tenacious and determined, even after her learning that her condition was fatal, she looked forward to working out in rehab every day. She inspired her family and therapists with her determination.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her father Harold; brother Merle; sister Connie; mother Louise; brother Leon; and brother Butch.
She is survived and deeply missed by her husband Gerald; and sons: Todd and Aaron. Casual dress is encouraged as Cheryl was a simple woman and would want all to be comfortable.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, June 8, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church in Herman, Minnesota with Rev. Cheryl Berg officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Herman, Minnesota.
