Rochester Cremation - HenriettaCheryl Yvonne Avery, 78, of Rochester, NY passed away on Sunday, October 12th, 2025.
She was born in Rochester, NY in 1947 to Edith (née Phillips) and Harry Avery. As a child, Cheryl was very creative and loved to draw. She graduated from East High School before going to work at Xerox. While at Xerox, she attended business classes at RIT.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, and her youngest daughter, Shawn Greenlea.She is survived by her eldest daughter, Lauren Greenlea, her granddaughters, Cheryl and Chanelle Kimber, great-granddaughters, Adalynn Kimber and Korey Chatman as well as her sister, Kathleen Glass, brother, Stephen (Ann) Avery, nephews Michael and Bryan Glass, Jason Avery and Sean (Cindy) Adams, niece, Kendra Adams, several cousins and good friends.
A memorial service and VFW presentation will be held at Trinity Emmanuel Presbyterian Church on October, 31st, 2025 at 10:30am. Repass to follow.
