Cheryl Barnick Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bobcean Funeral Home, Carleton on Jan. 2, 2026.
Cheryl Lynn Barnick, age 59, passed away on December 30, 2025 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.
To those who knew her, she went by Sherri, who was an amazing person and after coming out of her shell, was magically funny and humorous person in her own ways. She grew up in Carleton, Michigan, graduating from Airport High School in 1984. She then moved to Monroe, Michigan, to then move back to Carleton, Michigan towards her later years.
She was preceded in death by her parents Edsel V and Pamela A Russell (Lademann), nephew Andrew K Murray, and many aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her husband Joseph C Barnick, her sons John V Feaganes and Timothy J Feaganes, her sister Shelley (Chris) Vlodyka, her brothers Eddie (Rose) Russell, Brian (Danielle) Russell, and Charles Russell. As an aunt and great aunt, she leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Sherri was a loving, caring and supportive wife. Sherri so loved her boys to the "Moon and Back"! Sherri and her sister Shelley had a bond nothing in-or-out of this world could ever break. Sherri loved and enjoyed the times when the family would get together and share the constant joking around and laughs that ensued. Sherri may no longer be here in the flesh but, Her Spirit and Light shall FOREVER LIVE ON. Sherri is a soul that is blessed and cherished by the ones who loved her.
Sherri loved animals and leaves behind 3 German Shepards: Jorri, Mia, and Sarge.
At the time of Sherri's death, she worked as a dedicated employee of Airgas, where she had been employed with them just under 30 years!
Memorial Visitation will be held at Bobcean Funeral Home, Carleton Chapel on Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at Bobcean Funeral Home on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 5:00 pm.
