Cheryl Vick Estes, age 64, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital of North MS in Oxford, MS.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Shady Grove Baptist Church in the interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends prior to the service beginning at 11:00 A.M.
Cheryl dedicated herself to her family and embraced life with joy, particularly relishing in the simple pleasures such as fishing, cooking, going to the movies, and, most importantly, spending time with her beloved grandson, Easton Curtis. Her interests brought happiness not only to her but also to those around her. Cheryl's proudest accomplishment was her unwavering love for Jesus Christ and deep appreciation for her church family.
She is survived by her devoted husband, William Russell Estes of Batesville, MS, and one son, Ben Tubbs of Batesville, MS. Cheryl is also survived by her siblings, Connie Rogers of Water Valley, MS, and brothers Calvin Vick and Sam Vick, both from Pope, MS. Cheryl leaves behind a legacy of love and joy that will be fondly remembered by her family and friends.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Conner and Ernestine Vaughn Vick, whose memories she carried in her heart throughout her life.
In this time of grief, let us all remember Cheryl for her gentle spirit and the joy she brought into our lives. She will be deeply missed but eternally remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
