Cheryl Ann Howell

Cheryl Ann Howell, age 75, passed away peacefully in her home on June 9, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend that will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. A funeral service will be held at the Ellendale Methodist Church in Ellendale, MN on Saturday, June 14, at 1 PM. Reverend Randy Cirksena will be officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the church.

Cheryl was born on January 27, 1950 in Owatonna, MN to Forrest and Elvira (Werner) Howell. She grew up in rural Ellendale and graduated from Ellendale High School. After high school, she attended Albert Lea Community College and graduated with a Nursing degree. She Worked at Owatonna Hospital as an RN until she retired.

She was a generous supporter of numerous local charities. In her free time, she enjoyed all types of fishing, especially ice fishing, along with motorcycling, gardening, woodworking, and birdwatching. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family.

Cheryl is survived by her son, Eric (LeAnn) Knudson; daughter, Kiersten (Joshua) Cornelius; grandchildren, Dustin (Tiara) Esplan, Alyssa (Carson) Field, Paige Knudson, Madison Knudson; great granddaughter, Adaline Esplan; great grandson, Julian Field; brother, Larry (Elaine) Howell.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Elvira Howell; grandparents, Cellie and Wava Howell and Elizabeth and Fred Warner.
