Obituary
Cheryl Anne Massaro, 65, of Atlantic Highlands passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Monmouth Medical Center. Born August 2, 1958, and raised in Montville, New Jersey, Cheryl resided in Atlantic Highlands for decades, where she could be near the beach and her beloved family.
Cheryl was a graduate of Montville Township High School Class of 1976, and later received an associate degree in culinary arts. She enjoyed the beach, swimming, reading, making photograph collages, collecting seashells and most of all, lending a helping hand to her beloved family and friends. She was a proud mother and grandmother. Cheryl was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help – Saint Agnus Church, where she was a lector and Eucharistic Minister. Her faith was an important part of her life. Cheryl made her faith and family a priority. Cheryl was so proud to attend her family's events to show her support and cheer them on.
Cheryl is predeceased by her mother, Patricia Massaro (nee Rago), her father Raymond Massaro, Sr., her brother, Raymond (Kathleen) Massaro Jr., and her granddaughter Haleigh Stone. She was the beloved sister of Ron (Judy) Massaro and Randy Massaro. Cheryl was the proud mother to Anthony Karcher, Michelle Karcher, Sammy Massaro, and Samantha Brocato. Affectionately known as Mom to her 4 children and "Ram" to her 4 grandchildren Dominic, Adrianna, Anthony, and Johnny, and Aunt Cheryl to her many nieces and nephews, she will be missed dearly by her family. Her dog "Moo Moo" will miss her, as well.
Family and friends may gather on Sunday, August 13th at 9:30 am for a mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help - Saint Agnes Church, Highlands, NJ. The interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any local animal shelter in her memory.

I had known Cheryl since childhood and reconnected through Facebook some time ago. She was a loving and caring woman, deeply devoted to her family and was heartbroken over the loss of her parents and brother. May she always rest in peace. My deepest condolences to her family.
