Cheryl Jean McGowan, 72, of Marietta, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025 at her home.
Cheryl was born March 20, 1953 in Springfield, Missouri to Toby and Betty Warden.
She graduated from White City High School in 1971.
She married Buck McGowan on August 3, 1989.
Cheryl was a member of the Marietta Community Church. She was a member of Bikers for Christ and participated in the weekly bible study at Gator’s Pub.
Cheryl will be deeply missed by her children Tobie (Shardae) Pederson, Eric (Melissa) Washburn, Donnie (Stacy) Washburn and Trey (April) McGowan; grandchildren Tayshawn Brookover (Hippie), Shandele (Josh) Stemple, Kevin (Megan) Rooks, Danton Miller, Trey Good, Tanden (Joseph) Warren, Heather McGowan, Braiden (Abby) Tucker, Zachary Washburn (Destinee Humphrey), Tyanna Washburn, Zane McGowan, Paige McGowan, Tasia Washburn (Zach Wofe), Tarik Washburn (Victoria Miller), Thomas Pederson, Abby McGowan, Howie McGowan and Grace Pederson; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters Linda Haught, Katherine Warden and Tina Sewell.
In addition to her parents, Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband Buck and brother-in-law Malcolm Haught.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
