Cheryl Melton Obituary
A native of Guilford County, she was the wife of James Melton, who survives and the daughter of Clyde Bennett Dennis and Margaret Schoolfield Dennis, both deceased. She was a retired kindergarten teacher with the Alamance Burlington School System and a member of First United Methodist Church of Elon.
In addition to her husband of their home, survivors include a son, Brad Melton and wife Karri and three granddaughters, Lindsay Tate and husband Jayden, Isley Melton, and Kennedy Melton. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Megan Melton.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Gibsonville City Cemetery.
