Cheryl Parent Obituary
Cheryl is survived by 4 children: Vanessa (Tyler) Kelsey of Mason City, Michael (Jaime) Parent of Pennsylvania, Derek (Heather) Butler of San Jose and Jason Burmaster of Mason City, 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and her sister Rebecca Strickland of South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents and great grandson River.
Cheryl was a very artistic person, and she loved music. She enjoyed crafts of all kinds, coloring, painting and doing diamond art. She loved being outdoors and tending to her lawn. She was a very hard worker. For many years she worked at the Dixie Travel Plaza before retiring from SC2.
Cremation rites have been accorded, and a burial service will be held at Green Hill Cemetery in San Jose at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses. Online condolences can be left at www.hurleyfh.com. Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City is in charge of the arrangements.
