John Edward Robison, age 77 of Ocala, FL passed away at home on March 12, 2026 surrounded by his loving wife and family.
John was born on May 2, 1948 in Lincoln, IL to Marshall Leroy and Marian List Robison. He grew up in Mason City, IL, and at the age of 20 was drafted into the Army. He served a tour in Vietnam and upon returning home to central Illinois, he worked briefly at Caterpillar Tractor in Peoria. He soon reenlisted in the Army and completed 22 years of service, retiring as Chief Warrant Officer III. John ended his working career at the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in Orlando, FL, where he was an evidence supervisor.
John met his wife in 1985 while completing his final military duty station in Hinesville, GA and they were married in 1986.
John played many sports including pickleball, golf and bowling. He also had a couple of Harley-Davidson bikes which brought him a lot of enjoyment. He had a passion for home decorating, especially during the holiday season.
Surviving John are his wife, Cindy; daughter, JoAntoinette (Russell) McGath; son, Brett (Melinda) Robison; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia (Dewayne) Pace; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.
Services will be private and John will be put to rest at Bushnell National Cemetery.
