Cheryl Kay Rankin

Cheryl Rankin, 66, of Iowa Falls, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at her home in Iowa Falls. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Iowa Falls. Visitation will be 5-7pm Wednesday at the Surls Funeral Home of Iowa Falls with burial in the Alden Cemetery.
On November 3, 1955, Cheryl was born to Leonard and Lois Harms (Mur thierr ra) in Iowa Falls, Iowa.
In 1972, Cheryl met Jack Rankin, they were married on March 13, 1976, and will celebrate 46 years of marriage in 2022. Cheryl and Jack had two remarkable sons, Mark and Matthew. Cheryl and Jack lived their entire life with family and many dear friends in Iowa Falls.
Cheryl graduated in 1975 from Ellsworth Community College. She worked for more than 40 years for the following entities: Weaver Construction, Limestone Improvement Properties, Iowa Veterinary Supply, and Kruse Property Management. Cheryl was a caring, loving mother and devoted grandmother who enjoyed following her grandchildren's sporting events, cooking, gardening, and spending time with family and friends in Clear Lake, Iowa.
She is survived by her mother, Lois Harms; her lifelong partner and husband Jack; dear sons Mark (Melanie) and Matthew (Michelle), and her beloved grandchildren Riley, Karaline, Reece, Lindsay, and Sophia, her brother Robert Harms, and sister Cathi (Tom) Perlenfein.
She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents and her father, Leonard Harms.
