Cheryl Schuster Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Memorial Park Funeral Home North Riverside Chapel on Dec. 1, 2023.
Cheryl Schuster, 64, of Flowery Branch, went peacefully to be with her Lord on Thursday, November 29, 2023 surrounded by her loving family and friends.
She was born on July 17, 1959 in Baltimore, MD. Her family moved to Lawrenceville, GA in 1970.
Cheryl married Brian Schuster in 1990 and they established their home in Flowery Branch. Cheryl was a wonderful cook and grew much of her own produce on their property; so prolific were her efforts she also shared her produce with the community. Later Cheryl became a Friend of Master Gardeners and volunteered regularly at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens in Gainesville. Cheryl loved the outdoors and she loved hiking with her husband Brian and their golden retriever Chilidog.
She was trained as a chemist and spent many years as a project manager for a large pharmaceutical manufacturer. Her sharp mind and attention to details enabled Cheryl to entertain friends in the mountains with extremely creative and memorable parties. Cheryl loved animals, especially Golden Retrievers. Selfless and caring, she was always thinking of others. Cheryl especially loved spending time with her mother Lois and sister Carol.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her father Daryl Myers, her brother, Eric Myers and two brother-in-laws, James McEntee and Charles Schuster. Cheryl is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Brian J. Schuster of Flowery Branch; mother, Lois Myers of Lawrenceville; and sister, Carol McEntee of Lawrenceville.
A Celebration of Life for Cheryl will be held on January 16, 2024 at 2pm at McKendree United Methodist Church, 1570 Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road, Lawrenceville, GA.
In lieu of flowers, Cheryl's greatest wish would be if contributions of time or money or both! be made to your local Humane Society. (www.humanesocietyofnortheastgeorgia.org) or Golden Rescue, (www.goldenretriever.rescueme.org), or your church.

Cheryl and I both went to North Ga College together. After I graduated, I applied at the same pharmaceutical plant where she worked and I know she was instrumental in getting me hired on. She was my best friend. She always went out of her way to help in someone“s time of need and was always there checking up to make sure that everything was ok. She was truly a great person and roll model. I will truly miss my friend.
