In Loving Memory of Cheryl Sue Davis Stitt Phillips
November 4, 1943 – October 23, 2025
With deep love and sadness, we share the passing of our beloved mom, Nanny , and Great-Nanny, Cheryl Sue Davis Stitt Phillips, who passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025.
Cheryl was a loving mother and a dedicated educator whose kindness, wisdom, and warmth touched the lives of all who knew her. Born into a family of legacy that she deeply cherished, Cheryl greatly admired her parents and held a special love for her brothers and sister, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren - and her faithful companion, Lily.
She found joy in life's simple pleasures - playing games, going to the movies, and dining out with friends and family. Cheryl always made Christmas a special and magical time for all who gathered while many traditions were born and passed on.
Cheryl especially loved the beauty of trees flowering in the springtime and tending to her own summer flowers on the patio.
Cheryl also loved the finer things in life and being fancy. Getting dressed up to enjoy the theater, a good margarita, a martini shaken 40 times, or a glass of wine always while wearing her best lipstick.
A devoted friend, Cheryl enjoyed many happy, hours playing Bridge, Canasta and Mahjong, with her rhinestone manicures, where her laughter and competitive spirit always shone brightest.
Her love will forever live on in those who were blessed to know her.
Details for a celebration of Cheryl's life will be shared at a later date.
