Cheryl Ann Teller, 67, of Chesapeake, Virginia, passed away on February 9, 2024, after her courageous third battle with Breast Cancer. Cheryl was born to Betty and John Bryant on September 10, 1956, in Norfolk, Virginia.
She graduated from Oscar F. Smith High School in 1974. In June 2022, she retired from Chesapeake Public Schools after 30 years as a teacher assistant at Portlock Primary School. She loved supporting the students and the work family she gained. In her free time, Cheryl loved to spend time with her family, crafting, and hanging out with her best friend Kitty. She found joy in decorating her home for the seasons and holidays and had a great love for dragonflies.
Cheryl is survived by her three children, Jennifer Parrott (Joshua), Joshua Teller (Amanda), and Kara Harrell (Jonathon); her grandchildren, Christian, Zachariah, Avianna, Miles, and Paisley; and her two brothers, John "Johnny" Bryant and Mark Bryant. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Wayne Teller; mother, Betty Bryant; and father, John L. Bryant, Sr.
A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, February 17, at 11 a.m. at R.W Baker & Company Funeral Home, 5685 Lee Farm Ln, Suffolk, VA 23435. The family will receive family and friends at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Graveside burial will occur at Meadowbrook Memorial, 4569 Shoulders Hill Rd, Suffolk, VA 23435, followed by a reception at Jennifer's house. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory, North Suffolk Chapel is serving the family. Condolences may be registered at RWBakerFH.com.

Cheryl always had a smile on her face and very kind words to say! We talked often in the hallway and the classroom! She was a beautiful person inside and out! Her goodness and graciousness will be missed! She was so affectionate and patient!
