Cheryl Ann Thomas, age 63, of Neola, passed away November 14, 2023, at the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray of heart failure surrounded by her family.
She was born July 8, 1960, in Murray, Utah, to Mario and Wanda Banks Moser. She married Lynn L. Thomas on April 25, 1980, in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Cheryl was known as "The Pie Lady” because she was an excellent cook, especially pies, which she sold by the hundreds during the Holidays. She was a great example of integrity and courage and always had a smile on her face. She loved the Gospel of Jesus Christ and served faithfully in the church, music being her specialty. She had written songs and enjoyed singing in choirs. Her hobbies also included fishing, camping, and canning with her high school Sweetheart.
She loved her family very much and she was an elite woman of our Heavenly Father . She was always kind, thought of others, was service oriented, and never complained – even at the end when there would have been much to complain about.
Cheryl is survived by her husband of 43 years, Lynn, of Neola; her children, Will (Cynthia) Thomas, Neola; Melissa (BJ) Blanchard, Vernal; Amber (Jacob) Bigler, Neola; seven grandchildren, Jordon, Lynnlee, Preston, Emma, Dustin, Jaclynn, Asher; siblings, Loran (Carol) Moser, West Jordan; Dennis Moser, Taylorsville; Lynda (Jesse) Berg, South Jordan; John Moser, Florida; JoLynn Peck, South Jordan; Allen (Deb) Moser, West Jordan; Guy (Rosemary) Moser, St. George; Carma (Arlo) Stewart, Cedar City; LaMont Moser, Salt Lake City; Bobbie Hiatt, West Jordan; Bonnie (Corney) Workman, West Valley City; Debbie (Sylvester) Gray, Park City; Holly Stonehocker, West Valley City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Sherrill, and a sister, Dawna.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Neola Chapel. There will be a viewing on Sunday from 5-7 p.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary and from 10-10:45 a.m. Monday at the church.
