Obituary of Cheryl Ann Towndrow
Cheryl Ann Towndrow, 65, of Platteville, Colorado, passed away quietly on August 24, 2023.
Cheryl was born on February 13, 1958 to Ralph W. and Charlotte L. McKinney in Yerington, Nevada.
Cheryl attended Palo Verde High School in Tucson, Arizona and after her graduation she took up a long career driving trucks, a job she loved and excelled in.
Cheryl received several awards for her outstanding performance including two driver of the month awards and one driver of the year award from the Colorado Motor Carriers Association.
In 2006 Cheryl met her Husband Vernon Towndrow in Deming, N.M. and on June 27, 2011, they married. They were each other's best friends. They shared the joy of fishing, hunting, camping and just being in the mountains together. They had a bond that would never fade away. They loved each other in a way that no one could take away. Cheryl had a love for her family that neither time nor distance would ever take away.
She has two brothers Kevin of Nevada & Butch of Florida. Her children Crissa (Erik) Marr (Kellan, Kinsey and Holland Marr) of Monument, Colorado. Seth Yarbrough (Baby MAY and Aevah) of Mesa, Arizona. Tres Yarbrough (Felicity).
Cheryl loved each one with a love that they will never understand.
Cheryl was a kind person with a heart of gold. She would help anyone in need. She would give away the shirt off her back, but she always put herself last. The needs of others were more important than her own right up to the end.
Cheryl will be missed by everyone who was fortunate enough to have called her family or friend. She was a favorite hello and hardest goodbye. We are honored and better for having known her. A beautiful soul taken to soon.
Cheryl has been proceeded in death by her parents; her grandparents; brother, Skip; and her beloved son, Tres.
A great woman has left this Earth but lives on in everyone she touched.
