Cheryl Tukua, age 66, of Stillwater, Minnesota passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025, with family by her side.
Cheryl was born on December 8, 1958 to Dale and Sharon Tukua in Albert Lea, Minnesota. She grew up in "old" Cottage Grove, Minnesota, graduating from Woodbury Senior High School in 1977. In her younger years she enjoyed playing softball, being involved in 4H and loved horseback riding. She worked for many years in the deli at Lunds / Byerlys. Later in life, went to school for Behavioral Psychology with a focus in prosthetics. Her career was led by her own experience losing a limb and added great meaning to her life being able to help others. She also volunteered with the Shriners Hospital and Courage Center supporting the prosthetic techniques. In her spare time Cheryl enjoyed crocheting, reading and her cat Gabby. She will be missed deeply by her family and friends. Her kindness, caring ways and beautiful smile. will not be forgotten.
Cheryl is survived by her siblings, Twin- Daryl Tukua, Christie (Denny) Thurmes and Amber Tukua as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son Robert "Robbie" Wolterstorff; parents Dale Tukua and Sharon Parkin and brother Jeffrey Tukua.
Private family services are planned. She will be laid to rest next to her son, Robbie.
