Cheryle Rae Roberts

Cheryle Raye Roberts, age 81, passed away in the early morning hours of February 4, 2026, with her sister Terri and beloved son, Scott, by her side. Cheryle was born in Fresno, California on October 1, 1944. She was raised with her five siblings predominantly in Clovis, California by her parents Ralph and June Howell, and remained an almost lifelong Clovis resident. Cheryle loved people and had a passion for babies and dogs. She generously devoted her time to many community organizations including the Clovis Elks Lodge and the Clovis Rodeo Association. She loved spending time at her Shaver Lake cabin and supported the Shaver Lake community as well. Cheryle never met a stranger, loved to socialize, and never missed an opportunity to spend time with her family or friends.

Cheryle is survived by her son, Scott Holman and his wife Valerie; her sister Launa Howery and her husband Harley; her brother, Jerry Howell; her sister Kathy Taylor; her sister Terri Wiggins and her husband Ken; her companion of many years, Tom Zaknich; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family, Cheryle was preceded in death by her husband Augie Roberts; her infant son Paul Holman; her parents Ralph and June Howell, and her brother Richard Howell.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at noon at Clovis Cemetery with a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
