Chester Pyzik

Chester William Pyzik Jr, 60, of Chicago at rest January 29, 2026. Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, Chester was the youngest of four siblings-Cynthia, Linda, and Gloria. He attended Lincoln Technical Institute, where he earned his diploma in automotive technology. This foundation led to a distinguished 30 year career with Ford and Lincoln, where he achieved the respected title of Senior Master Mechanic. Chester took great pride in his craft, known for his skill, dedication, and the countless customers and coworkers who trusted him.

In March of 2004, Chester met the love of his life, Linda Maragos, and together they built a warm and joyful life on Chicago's North Side. They shared a passion for good food, time with family and friends, sporting events, NASCAR races, and the peace of the outdoors. Linda preceded him in death in 2017, and Chester carried her memory with him always.

Although he did not have children of his own, Chester poured his heart into being a devoted uncle to his nine nieces and nephews and a proud great uncle to his growing extended family. His presence-steady, generous, and full of quiet humor-was a gift to each of them.

Chester was an amateur bowler and a lifelong fan of the Chicago Bears, Cubs, and Blackhawks. He also loved NASCAR and was an enthusiastic supporter of Dale Earnhardt Jr. His interests reflected the same spirit he brought to life: loyal, passionate, and full of heart.

Beloved son of the late Chester and Genieve Pyzik; loving brother of Cynthia (Raymond) Kirchner, the late Linda (the late Edward) Mickiewicz, Gloria (the late Don) Henry; fond uncle of Michelle Kirchner, Christine Kirchner, Cynthia Rae (Tim) Johnsen, Daniel Mickiewicz, the late Andrew Mickiewicz, Cassandra (Lawrence) Sulk, Bryan Parker, Meghan (Shawn) Richardson, Donald (Lexy) Henry Jr; doting great uncle of Lorna, Ariana, Aiden, Sophie, Troy, Scarlet and Alex. Visitation Thursday, February 12, 2026 4-8pm at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home 6150 N Cicero Ave, Chicago, IL 60646. Funeral Service Friday, February 13, 2026 10am at the funeral home. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL.

Chester will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
