Chester Earl Rall, Jr. passed from this life into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
Chester was born on a naval base in San Diego, California. Chester was born blind and with profound Cerebral Palsy. He was cared for by his parents until, due to multiple military relocations and his increasing medical needs, he was taken in by his paternal grandmother, Catherine Morkin, who preceded him in death.
When she was no longer able to provide for his needs, Chester was admitted to the Warren G. Murray Developmental Center and called that home until his passing. There are no words to express the love and care that the Murray Center staff had for Chester throughout his life. Chester was very happy there, and you only knew he was sick because he didn't have a smile from ear to ear.
Chester born blind, non-verbal, without the ability to walk, but the first thing he saw that Saturday night was Jesus welcoming him home and there is no doubt that he is in Heaven today walking with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and sharing all the stories with his grandma that they never got to tell.
"I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us." Romans 8:18
Chester is survived by his father, Chester and wife Susan (Klingbeil) Rall of Batesville, MS, his sister Sandra and husband Kevin Tate of Centralia, sister Dusty Rall of Fairfield. Nephews, Scott Tate and wife Kylee of Anthem, AZ and Steven Tate of Centralia.
Chester was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Catherine Morkin of Evansville, IN, his maternal grandparents, Walter and Jennie Bailey of Fairfield, IL, and step-grandparents Ed and Vera Klingbeil of Salem.
Interment will be at Paradise Cemetery with a private family service and Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Crouse Funeral Home in Salem is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences can be left at www.CrouseFH.com
