Cheyenne A. Perry II passed away peacefully on his own terms on March 10, 2026, surrounded by love. He will be remembered for his strength, humor, intelligence, and the determination with which he lived his life. A proud tribal member of the Narragansett Indian Tribe, Cheyenne never allowed the physical limitations he faced from birth to hold him back.

Wheelchair-bound for the majority of his life, Cheyenne lived with a sharp and curious mind. He graduated from Chariho Regional High School in June 2012 and later attended New England Institute of Technology, where he took on the challenge of learning to create video games. Technology became a powerful tool in his life. Although he did not have use of his hands, he embraced advanced eye-tracking technology that allowed his eyes to act as his fingers, enabling him to communicate, research, and stay connected with the world.

Cheyenne loved video games and enjoyed following a good television series, always happy to have someone to talk through the storylines and characters with. He had a quick wit and loved to joke with family and friends. Once you really got him going, his infectious laugh would leave you no choice but to join him in laughter. He continued to defy the odds and obtained a working role at the Frank Olean Center as their Media Specialist, where his knowledge and passion for technology were valued and channeled through his work.

He treasured the times he was able to spend with family, especially his cousins Ashkee, Selena, Robbie, Silvercloud and Sheshau, creating memories filled with laughter. He also shared special friendships with his nurses Ann Barclay and Matt Diana, who unwaveringly contributed to a life well lived.

Cheyenne was predeceased by his father, Cheyenne A. Perry; his adopted father and uncle, Edward Barber III (Pico); and his adopted brother and cousin, Na'Kea L. Perry.

He leaves behind his favorite person and beloved grandmother, Myra D. (Brown) Perry; his mother, Holly Algiere; his adopted mother and aunt, Laguana D. Barber; his sister, Autumn R. Perry; his adopted brother and cousin, Peco C. Barber; along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, his
godson, and many loving family members.

Cheyenne will be remembered for his resilience, humor, and the way he showed that a strong spirit can overcome even the greatest challenges. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
