Cheyenne Speegle Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tim Stewart Funeral Home - Snellville on Feb. 25, 2026.
Cheyenne "Alyssa" Speegle, our beautiful three year old blessing from the Lord, has gone to join in His presence on the morning of February 23rd, 2026.

Born April 11th, 2022 as a tiny but mighty warrior from the very beginning, all 3 pounds and 7 ounces of her sweet self. Which also became a sassy self as life progressed.

A diagnosis of Trisomy 18 and all it's defects. The doctors, statistics and world told her and us that she wouldn't make it, what she wouldn't be able to do, etc. Alyssa not only constantly and continuously overcame all the odds, she shoved the statistics aside and said "watch me" time and time again.

Known as Aly Girl by her mother, Annette, Boo-Boo by her father, Jeffrey, Girlie to her brother Logan, and Peep/Baby Alyssa to her brother Kyle, a warrior, a patient, a friend, many of these things she was known by but most importantly, a Child of God by the Lord that crafted her in His very image and crafted her beautifully, perfectly imperfect self.

We were blessed that Alyssa was so full of love she got from her dad, spunk from her brothers, sass and stubbornness she got from her mother and she was so full of her very own unique personality that you couldn't help but adore to the core.

She was never a diagnosis, label or a limitation, she was Alyssa. A girl worth knowing and when you knew her, you knew. Nothing ever stopped her joy and the opportunity taken to make all sorts of very many memories over the years. Including several trips all with their own memories from the mountains to the beach and everywhere in between.

Alyssa is immensely and unconditionally loved by her parents and brothers. She always enjoyed snuggling up under Daddy's beard, Logan putting a huge smile on her face playing "shakie time" with her and she always looked for Kyle at bedtime as her self proclaimed "sleeping buddy" watching over her so sweetly and enjoyed mani-pedis with mom and getting to watch cartoons together.

She may have came into the world small but her impact was bigger than ever. Her story and drive reached and touched so many people and left such big lasting differences near and far. To have the opportunity to know her was a blessing. She was a blessing to us.

Alyssa was blessed to have many others in her family including Grandma (Charlotte), Grandma Cora, Uncle Timothy and Aunt Haleigh, Uncle Nathan and Aunt Megan, Aunt Mary and Uncle Jason, Great Uncle Jesse and Aunt Ginnie, cousins Jesse Jr. (Lauren, Lucas and Avery), Gillian (Tom), Great Uncle Bud, Great Aunt Amanda, Cousins Alex (Haley), Austin and Ava.

Alyssa was also blessed to have a few honorable mentions. Pastor Chris Alexander (Chestnut Grove), NICU Nurse Caylor Oglesby, Hospital Pediatrician Christian Lindsey, Cardiologist Dr. Neill Videlefsky, CHOA CACU team members Anessa Singh; Abby Patrick; Callie O'Conner and countless other CHOA nurses, doctors, artist, and staff. Grayson Pediatrics team of Julie Opeka; Rebecca Haynes and Kristin Peek. Sherry King (Tony) and Abbey Hospice, Joe Davis and GotBaseballCards Team, Pulm. Hypertension CPNP-AC Anna Gay, PT Ashley Calhoun, OT Andrea Trentham, SP Tiana Smith and her teachers Meghan Zimmermann and Durinda Wilkerson. These people were instrumental in her life, praying, caring, supporting, cheering for, believing in, teaching and loving her all in their own ways throughout her life.

She is and will be forever missed here on earth. Praise God for her being whole with Him today.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church, 2299 Rosebud Road, SW, Grayson, GA, with Pastor Chris Alexander officiating. A Visitation will be held 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM prior to the service.

The family has requested that if you chose to send flowers, they'd like plants to make a memory garden in Alyssa's honor.
