Chiquita "Chickie" A. Myers, 78, of Johnstown passed away on December 31, 2022, with her loving family by her side. Born in Round Lake on May 25, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Ralph E. and Edith (Morris) Smith.
Survived by her loving niece Glenda (Bruce) Gill of Hadley and her nephew Glenn (Lois) Crowley of Fonda. Chickie is survived also by many other cousins, nieces, and nephews.
During her lifetime Chickie was a member of the United Methodist Church in Fultonville. She was a Special Education Teacher for the Johnstown School District for many years. She loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed her animals, which she loved them all.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Jackson & Betz Family Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville, NY 12072 on Friday January 6, 2023, from 4 pm to 7pm. Funeral services will take place at the funeral home on Saturday January 7, 2022, at 11am with burial to follow in the family plot of the Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Chickie can be made to the Ayres Memorial Animal Shelter, 133 Hilltop Road, Sprakers, NY 12166.
