Chiyemi Nozaki, a beloved figure in her community and a cherished member of her family, passed away on December 20, 2024, at the age of 92. Born on November 6, 1932, Chiyemi lived a life filled with warmth and kindness that touched the lives of many. Chiyemi married Masashi Nozaki on December 2, 1954. They enjoyed a happy marriage until he passed away on December 30, 1981.
A graduate of Box Elder High School, Chiyemi carried her educational experiences into every role she undertook. She dedicated herself to working on the family farm, where her tireless contributions helped cultivate not only crops but also a sense of belonging and nurturing that permeated her home. In addition to her time on the farm, she served her community by waiting tables, always greeting patrons with her welcoming smile and spirit. Her kindness was not merely a trait; it was a way of life that left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. Chiyemi also worked for Morton Thiokol.
Chiyemi is survived by her loving daughter, Patricia Nozaki, and her devoted son, Gordon Nozaki. She also leaves behind her dear sister, Kiyoko Tawatari. Together, they will remember her not only for her industrious spirit but for the warmth and love that defined her relationships.
As family and friends honor Chiyemi's memory, they will carry forward her legacy of compassion and dedication to others, traits that made her an irreplaceable part of their lives. She will be greatly missed but fondly remembered.
