Eddie Kulbacki Obituary

Eddie Lee Kulbacki graduated to eternity on November 2, 2025. He was born on May 16, 1947, in Ogden, Utah, to Edward Kulbacki and Mary Burton Kulbacki. Eddie graduated from Bonneville High School in 1965 and voluntarily joined the United States Marine Corps in 1966, at the height of the Vietnam War. He served honorably and valiantly in active conflict, earning two Purple Hearts, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Presidential Unit Citation. Though proud of his service, Eddie rarely spoke of that chapter in his life. Upon returning home, he was sealed to the love of his life, Elizabeth Lenora Lemon, in the Logan Utah Temple on October 24, 1968.

From childhood, Eddie loved the outdoors which included trapping and fishing around the Ogden area. His early experience tanning animal skins sparked an interest in Native American art. A gifted and humble artist, he recreated traditional designs through leatherwork, stone carving, and sketching-often working late into the night after his family was asleep. Eddie was truly a man of many talents.

Eddie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother whose greatest joys were found in the outdoors and in the company of those he loved most. Some of his happiest moments and our fondest memories were spent fishing for tiger muskie on Pineview, catching kokanee salmon at Causey Reservoir, and hunting waterfowl on Ogden Bay. Every adventure included three essentials: his children, a stash of Pearson's nut rolls, and an abundance of laughter.

Eddie had a special gift for making even the slowest fishing or hunting trip feel like a success, simply by filling it with humor, patience, and love. He also cherished hiking, camping, archery, and a glass of extra-strong, sugary Country Time lemonade (ask his grandchildren). No matter the activity, the common thread was always his family, including his children, grandchildren, and, most recently, his great-grandchild.

Eddie was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and found great joy in serving wherever he was called. He approached each responsibility with humility, dedication, and a genuine love for others. One of his most treasured callings was serving alongside his sweetheart, Elizabeth, in the Ogden Temple. Their time in the Temple was deeply meaningful-a sacred opportunity to serve the Lord together and strengthen their eternal bond as they labored for those on both sides of the veil.

He is preceded in death by his son Ryan, father Edward and mother Mary; sister Marla. father-in-law, Lowell, mother-in-law, Lenora; his sister-in-law Helen Marie; his nephews Mario, Scott, Blake and Troy, niece; Shelly.

Eddie is survived by his eternal companion Elizabeth, his daughters Emily and Sarah (Sherry). his son Evan (Julie); their children, Braxton, Ethan, Kaden and Landon; his great-grandchild Beau. His son Daniel (Jamie); their children, Amber, Sydnee, Preston and Marcus. His son Tyler (Martin). His sisters Sharon, Debbie and Barbara and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at the Brigham City Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, UT. Viewings will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, and Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 11:00 – 11:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be held at the Willard Cemetery. Following the interment, refreshments and a light lunch for family and friends will be served at the Church meeting house located at 1828 N 3000 W, Clinton, UT.
