Chloe Joyce Rape of Bryan, Texas passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, while surrounded by her family at the age of 88. Born on July 26, 1937, Chloe was known for her wit, humor, and her gentle yet strong spirit. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Jerry M. Rape. A cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, she was a blessing in the lives of all who knew her.

A voracious reader, Chloe loved spending time with family at their weekend home on Lake Belton while playing dominoes and Tripoly. She enjoyed doting on Maddie, her constant companion and canine friend.

Chloe worked for Texas A&M University for 39 years, retiring on January 31, 2011. A dedicated and valuable employee, she was recognized for her achievements by receiving the President's Meritorious Service Award, the Office of Admissions and Records Outstanding Support Staff Award and most notably, the 2010 University-Level Distinguished Achievement Award.

Chloe is survived by her sons Jeff Rape and David Rape, daughter in law Julie, grandchildren Kristen Alvarenga, Johanna Ortega, Cloe Rape, Kaylee Rape, and Greg Rape, great grandchildren Elsie Alvarenga and Caleb Alvarenga, and favorite niece Polly Vicars.

At her request, a private Celebration of Life will be held by immediate family in lieu of a formal service. Interment will be at College Station Memorial Cemetery on the Aggie Field of Honor.
