Mrs. Chlorene Orr age 87 departed this life January 21, 2025, surrounded by her family. Mrs. Orr was born in Ellijay to her parents, Homer and Georgia Warren Hughes. Chlorene was a lifelong resident of Cumming and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Cumming. Chlorene loved to cross stitch, sew, cook and take care of her grandkids.
Mrs. Orr is preceded in death by her husband Quimby Orr, parents, Homer and Georgia Warren Hughes, siblings; Charlie Hughes (Jeanette), Stancil Hughes (Stella), Cecil Hughes (Betty), Bill Hughes (Katherine), Weldon Densmore (Ona) and Bart Lowman (Lola).
Survivors include children Marie Cleveland (Jim), and Byron Orr (Cindy), grandchildren; Grant Herring (Laura), Clark Herring (Jessica), Brodie Orr (Bay) and Audrey Richter (Alan) and 6 great grand children as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Chlorene Orr will be Tuesday January 28, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Clark Herring, Rev. Doug Carnes and Rev. Jamie Sanford officiating. Internment will follow the service at Sawnee View Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again Tuesday from 9:00 Am until the service hour.
