Chong Hui Davis, 86, of Mentor, OH, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 29, 2025.

She was born on January 31, 1939, in Kyonggido, Korea, and made Lake County her home for the past 40 years. Chong Hui was the devoted and loving wife of Robert B. Davis; cherished mother of Chongja Brumfield; and proud grandmother of Michael B. Brumfield and Jaimee L. Brumfield; adored great-grandmother of Fallon Campolieti, and Brooklyn Fischbach. She is also survived by her dear sister, Ul Sun Kim and her niece Selena Kim and nephew Richard Kim. Chong Hui was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Chang Sun Chong and Hae Sok Kim and her beloved brother Song Mun Kim.

Chong Hui had a gift for nurturing both people and the earth. She found great joy in tending to her garden, where she grew the fresh tomatoes that became the heart of her family's favorite meal-her homemade spaghetti and meatballs. She shared her love through food, traditions, and time together, leaving her family with countless cherished memories. Her gentle spirit and loving nature also extended to her cats, whom she cared for as treasured members of the family.

Chong Hui's love, kindness, and warmth will be deeply missed, but the legacy of her devotion to her family and the simple joys of life will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 3, from 4:00–8:00 PM at the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center Street, Mentor, OH. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 4, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Knollwood Cemetery in Mayfield Heights.
