Chris J Allen

Chris J. Allen 64 of Brentwood passed away on Thursday @ 8:20 PM surrounded by his wife Linda and son Christopher. Chris was a member of the Brentwood Fire Department for 44 years. The fire service was an organization of pride and he developed many long-time friends that he will forever consider his brothers. After a 3 year of struggle with cancer he saw his way to Join his brother George, His parents George and Joan. He leaves behind his wife Linda Allen and son Christopher Allen, His sister Kathleen Mellace brother in law Rich Mellace, and his niece Amanda Mellace. He leaves his wife's family her sisters Pat Wecera, Jean Peters, and Donna Barget, and their children Joe Peters, Kevin Peters, Ryan Peters, Eddie Wecera, Ricky Wecera, Kallie Vencak, and Nicolas Williamoski. He leaves behind a Great Niece Malana Vencak code name Mavis. His love for the fire department ran as deep as his passion for his radios which he dedicated his life to until the end. May he rest in peace and always watch over us, and each time it snows think of him. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Chris's name to the Islip Town Fireman Museum.
Michael J. Grant Funeral Homes of Brentwood N.Y. is honored to oversee the funeral services for Chris J. Allen. We warmly invite family and friends to celebrate his life on Tuesday, January 21st. and Wednesday, January 22nd. Visitation will begin in the afternoon from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. & again in the evening 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Tuesday evening wake service, and Wednesday evening (8pm) Fire Matic services. Commemoration will continue Thursday with a Funeral Mass 9:45 a.m. at St. Anne's R.C. Church. Procession to St. Patrick's Cemetery in Bayshore will follow the Funeral Mass, and where Chris will be eternally laid to rest.
