Chris Kent Curry, 61, of Plainwell, Michigan, passed away on December 31, 2025.
Chris was born in Plainwell on October 6, 1964, to Dorla and Jerry Curry, Sr. He attended Martin High School, graduating in 1982. Growing up, Chris was active in many sports and carried that passion into adulthood by coaching youth teams, generously sharing his time and love of the game with the next generation.
Chris built his career as a union carpenter, a trade he took pride in for many years. He was also deeply committed to serving his community as a volunteer firefighter, dedicating countless hours to training and participating in local events and service efforts.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Dorla and Jerry Curry, Sr., and his brother, Tim Curry. He is survived by his siblings, Beth McGuire, Jerry (Pat) Curry, Jr., and Brad (Janet) Curry; his daughters, Courtney (Matt) Lesley and Carissa Curry; and his beloved granddaughter, Nora Lesley.
The family will host a visitation on Thursday, January 8, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at Martin Methodist Church. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, January 9, at 1:00 p.m., also at Martin Methodist Church, 969 E. Allegan Street, Martin, MI 49070
