Chris Gibson

Chris Gibson of Dallas, NC passed away after a short battle with cancer on Sunday, July 10th. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend to everyone he met. He enjoyed working in his yard, playing a "good" round of golf and traveling with his family. He was a lifelong community servant through church and Rotary Club. Chris had a knack for storytelling, an infectious laugh and a wonderful smile. Chris grew up in Gaston County with parents Toni & Jerry Gibson of Dallas, NC. He was a graduate of East Gaston High School and The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, Bertha & Lewis Gibson and Florine & Henry Queen. Chris is survived by his wife Susan Gibson, daughter Molly Gibson, parents Toni & Jerry Gibson, sister Dana Davidson and brother-in-law Kevin. His legacy lives on through the kindness and love that he shared with others. Services will be held at FUMC Stanley - CommonGround campus on Saturday, July 16th. 5481 Hickory Grove Road Stanley, NC 28164. Visitation will be from 10:30AM - Noon with a service immediately following.
